The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Since the introduction of “The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005”, there has been a large rise in court action due to companies not having the correct fire safety procedures and equipment in place. The Fire Safety Order applies to all non-domestic premises in England and Wales, including the common parts of flats and houses in multiple occupancies as well as businesses. The responsible person must carry out a fire safety risk assessment, implement it and maintain a fire management plan.
